Curation

As a contemporary art and media curator I have worked on a diverse range of exhibitions encompassing a variety of formats.

In 2005 I founded Interval, an arts organisation aimed at promoting and profiling the work of emergent media artists in the north west (UK). Over this period I curated a number of exhibitions, profiling the work of over 50 emergent and mid-career artists, and established a comprehensive network of practitioners working in the region.

I have since worked on a number of high profile independent exhibitions, both individually and collectively.

Thematically I am interested in the relationship between the curator, artist, space and audience and how these are made manifest through responsive exhibition formats. I strive to devise and initiate critically informative contexts, developing concepts and bringing together works that reveal originality in thinking, nurture discussion and promote new ways of thinking and interpreting art practice.
