Karen Gaskill is an independent curator and researcher based in London.
Curatorially Karen works nationally and internationally with independent venues, commercial gallery spaces, organisations and collectors.
She was the founder, co-director and curator of Interval from 2005-2009, an arts organisation based in Manchester, UK, which provided a critical forum and exhibition platform for emergent to mid career artists.
Academically Karen has a PhD in Social Curation and presents her research regularly through symposia and texts and other publications. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Photography at Sheffield Hallam University.
